The company also conducts research, training, expert witnessing, and third party reviews in these areas.

In 2023, HES merged with sister company Ameriscan LLC which was founded in 2018 to provide acoustic emission testing and laser scanning of coke drums. The merger streamlines operations and allows HES to offer a complete set of engineering and testing services under one roof. The combined company makes it easier and more efficient for operating companies to obtain these highly-specialized services.
