Structural Dynamics
Structural dynamics is an engineering discipline that studies the vibration of engineering structures. In industrial and refinery applications, it is used to characterize and analyze the vibrations of fixed equipment such as piping, pressure vessels, and towers. The objective can be design verification, code compliance, failure analysis, or troubleshooting. More complex analyses may include fluid-structure interaction, soil-structure interaction, and/or contact. Houston Engineering Solutions has the expertise, hands-on experience, and software needed to study challenging fixed-equipment vibration problems and recommend effective solutions.
